Silent Hill has plenty of bad acting, bad dialogue and a confusing plot -- all of which become exponentially more painful when the movie goes on forever.
How can anyone take a premise that rife with promise, not to mention a certain amount of timeliness, and blow it so completely? Such ineptitude in the face of something that in any other hands would be a sure thing boggles the mind.
The effects are derivative and second-rate, the acting is rudimentary, and the resolution is as infuriating as it is obtuse.
